Like many people, I spent years juggling work, responsibilities, deadlines, and the constant pressure of modern life. After a successful career in corporate America, I realized that the pace I had been keeping wasn't sustainable. I was sick, stressed, burned out, and looking for a better way forward.

That search led me down an unexpected path.

I first discovered belly dance as a fun alternative to traditional fitness programs. What began as exercise quickly became much more. Through movement, I found confidence, creativity, community, and friendships that continue to enrich my life today.

As my interest in health and wellness grew, I began studying yoga, meditation, and eventually Ayurveda—the traditional health system of India. What I discovered wasn't a quick fix or a miracle cure. Instead, I found practical, time-tested tools that helped me improve my health, manage stress, build resilience, and create a more balanced life.

Over time, those small changes transformed the way I eat, move, think, and live. They also changed the direction of my life.

Today, I call the Piney Woods of East Texas home and have the privilege of teaching yoga, sharing Ayurveda, leading movement classes, and working one-on-one with individuals who want to improve their health and well-being.

My mission is simple: to help people discover practical ways to live healthier, happier, and more connected lives. I believe wellness doesn't have to be complicated, and I believe it's never too late to learn something new, make positive changes, and create a life you enjoy living.

About Me

Yoga is about much more than touching your toes or mastering complicated poses.

At its heart, yoga is a practice of learning how your body and mind work—and developing habits that help them work together. My classes combine movement, breathing, relaxation, and practical education to help you feel stronger, move more comfortably, and better manage the demands of everyday life.

In class, you'll learn to:

  • Improve joint mobility and maintain healthy movement

  • Build strength, balance, and stability

  • Use your breath to reduce stress and improve focus

  • Support your nervous system through mindful movement and relaxation

  • Develop practical skills you can use long after class ends

As we move through our 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond, maintaining strength, balance, flexibility, and confidence becomes increasingly important. Yoga is about moving well, feeling well, and continuing to enjoy the activities that matter most to you.

You'll never be expected to twist yourself into impossible shapes or keep up with someone else's practice. Whether you're brand new to yoga or returning after years away, you'll be encouraged to work at your own pace in a welcoming, supportive environment.

No pressure. No pretzels. Just practical yoga for real life.

About Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a traditional system of health that views wellness as more than the absence of illness. It looks at the whole person—your body, mind, daily habits, and the world around you—to better understand what helps you feel your best.

At the heart of Ayurveda is one simple question:

What does your body need?

Instead of offering the same advice to everyone, Ayurveda recognizes that each of us is unique. We have different constitutions, different lifestyles, and different challenges. What helps one person thrive may not be the right approach for someone else.

In workshops and consultations, you'll learn practical ways to:

  • Understand your natural constitution and tendencies

  • Choose foods that support your energy and digestion

  • Create daily routines that promote better sleep, focus, and resilience

  • Adjust your habits with the changing seasons

  • Make small, sustainable changes that fit your life

You'll find no rigid rules, complicated routines, or extreme diets here—just thoughtful guidance, practical education, and common-sense tools that you can begin using right away.

For many people, Ayurveda provides something they've been looking for all along: a practical framework that helps explain why their body responds the way it does—and what they can do to support it.
